Hard Water filming and spotting!
Water filming and spotting can be caused by several things....
1. Not using enough detergent for the water hardness in your area....hard water minerals coat the surface of the glassware and leave a film.
2. Water temperature too low.... try raising the water temperature and running the hot water before starting the dishwasher will help.
3. Not using a rinse agent in the dishwasher.....a rinse aid improves the sheeting action of the water.
4.Water temperature too hot....flash drying occurs, this is when the water droplets dry before they can sheet off.
These are a few things to consider if you are experiencing any spotting or filming. To remove hard water filming soak glassware in undiluted vinegar.
